#SFC
#SFC is a weekly meeting for all Year 12 students where we focus on talks, activities and workshops that reflect the areas of #Study, #Friendship and #Contribution.
You’ll learn about different time management, project management, extended writing, critical thinking, and revision skills to reflect the change in learning styles and expectations in the Sixth Form. We work carefully to build a sense of family and a support network within Year 12 which ensures that teamwork and collaborative thinking becomes a normal way of working. Finally, you’ll be encouraged to think beyond your world and to raise awareness of charities, national and international issues. This could be through student-led assemblies, poster or social media campaigns, or taking part in a national competition. Last year, Year 12 students won a distinguished prize as part of a national anti-racism campaign.
Students also further their care and compassion for the world beyond our gates through student-led campaigns. Our most recent campaign involved collecting Christmas cakes for the local Need Project which gave Christmas hampers to local families who relied heavily on the food banks.
