Miss Gemma Arthur, Head of Boarding
With a background in teaching, Miss Arthur chose to dedicate her career to the pastoral care of children and young people. Her professional journey began in the classroom but soon transitioned to a role as Youth and Family Activities Manager on a cruise ship, where she spent five years. Following this, she moved into the management of children’s activity residential centres on land. Eleven years ago, she ventured into the field of boarding, where she has since concentrated on delivering exceptional pastoral care.
Having grown up as a boarder herself, Miss Arthur deeply understands the profound impact that a positive boarding experience can have on a young person’s life. This personal insight drives her commitment to ensuring that the students under her care receive the highest standard of support and guidance. Drawing on her extensive experience and compassionate approach, together with a highly qualified boarding team, she is dedicated to creating a homely, welcoming environment. In this nurturing atmosphere, students are encouraged to thrive, grow, and develop within a safe, positive, and secure setting.
