St. Francis’ College is part of the Inspired Learning Group (‘ILG’), a growing group of independent senior schools, preparatory schools, and nurseries in the UK. ILG enthusiastically supports each school in the achievement of excellence.

Aim

ILG strives to create safe and inspiring educational environments where children can grow into positive and impactful members of society who will, one day in turn, shape the outlook of the next generation. ILG’s schools and nurseries combine traditional values and forward-thinking ideas to help every single pupil realise their potential, so they are prepared to take on jobs that have not yet been invented.

Philosophy

ILG believes, first and foremost, in putting your child at the heart of everything we do. We endeavour to provide educational excellence within a culture of care to nurture each pupil the best we can. We want to offer a wide range of opportunities, both academic and extra-curricular, so that all our children are endowed with the spirit to aspire and become twenty first century citizens.

Amit Mehta started his business career at Fortune 500 Company Avery Dennison, quickly rising through the ranks to become a senior executive reporting directly to the CFO. Ten years at the company taught him a huge amount about what makes a successful enterprise tick, experience he then employed when setting off to try his hand at businesses of his own.

Amit successfully built and grew two private equity-backed businesses, learning more about how to manage different teams, understand customer needs and to always aim to exceed expectations. With a young family in tow, Amit soon started looking for a new opportunity relevant to his changing lifestyle – something that would allow him to give back to the community and give him a greater sense of personal satisfaction. He decided to take over a group of three struggling schools and focus on turning their fortunes around – ultimately saving them from the brink of closure. The venture proved life-changing, as Amit realised he’d found his calling.

Since founding the Inspired Learning Group in 2014, he has expanded the group’s portfolio of schools to 13 prep schools, 3 senior schools, 10 nurseries, and still growing.

ILG is now Amit’s passion and being able to apply his business acumen to education is something that energises him every day. He loves working with children, teachers and parents to improve the quality of education, boost local communities and make a real difference to the lives of so many young children.
